Tisty Tosty is the name of a Medieval English love spell and the ingredients we put in it are traditionally associated with love. The idea is to dream of the one you desire as you soak in this floral bouquet of rose absolute and orris root powder, counting away the rosebuds "he loves me", "he loves me not". Just make sure to start with "he loves me" as there are seven rosebuds in each heart shaped Bath Bomb, that way you're sure to end up with the outcome you desire.

What it is

Tisty Tosty is the name of a Medieval English love spell and the ingredients we put in it are traditionally associated with love. The idea is to dream of the one you desire as you soak in this floral bouquet of rose absolute and orris root powder, counting away the rosebuds "he loves me", "he loves me not". The original version of this Tisty Tosty love spell says that you should stir the water with a hazel wand.

A touch of magic.

Tisty Tosty was inspired by the beautiful writings of a literary critic. It was based on a spell used to stir the passions and bring love to you, depending on the state of mind of the caster. With seven roses, if you start positively, it will end positively. Its fragrance has constantly evolved over the years and Simon has mastered the definitive Tisty fragrance.

Product Features:

  • Orris root powder. Orris is one of the most expensive perfumery materials in the world. The rhizome is dried, powdered and used as a fixative in perfumery blends.
  • Rose absolute. Rose is the flower of love. Like orris root, it is good for dry or rough skin.

Directions of Use:

  • Fill tub with warm water, drop in the bath bomb and enjoy its lovely color and fragrance. Some LUSH bath bombs contain flower petals and or other surprises. If you prefer not to have them floating in your tub, wrap the bath bomb in a nylon before use. To make your experience even more memorable, combine a bath bomb with a bath melt.

Ingredients

Rose Absolute. Our rose absolute comes from the flower petals of the damask rose (Rosa damascena, from the plant family Rosaceae). It is obtained by solvent extraction. Other rose species can be used to produce rose oils and absolutes. Rose is thought to be the first floral. We also use rose oil from the same plant.

Bath Bomb

LUSH, the creator of the Bath Bomb, is offering a box of 9 of their best-selling bath bombs. The bombs are fizzing bath treats made with sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, and scented with a “hand-blended” essential oils for great fragrance.

MY sister loved this bath bomb it fizzled and then had natural herbs imbedded inside with a quality fragnance that didnt dissipate after getting whet and she only used half the heart (Posted on 5/5/2012)

  2. Calming Bath Review by Rebecca Johnson
    Quality

Orris Root powder has a scent similar to violets although in this Tisty Tosty bath bomb, even with the addition of rose oil, it is not an overpowering fragrance. I think they could add double the rose oil, but you can add in rose and ylang ylang if you are in the mood. The Tisty Tosty heart-shaped bath bomb is perfect if you enjoy blending your own essential oils or prefer a mild/calming bathing experience.

I'd suggest using this one for skin calming and also adding in a "Romance In a Stone," "Sex Bomb" or "Chelsea Garden" bath bomb to add a little more romance to the bath.

I did feel emotionally calm (rose balances the emotions) and my skin loved this bath bomb, but it was not as sensory as I'd hoped. Following this bath with the "It's A Pleasure Treasure Massage Bar" is fun, also heart-shaped.

You may want to try the "Violet" soap with this bathing experience. The next time I try this, I might mix it with an "Elixir" bath melt and a bit of the "Bathos" bubble bar, also scented with violet.

Personally, I think they should scent this bath bomb like the It's a Pleasure Treasure Massage Bar. It is blissfully delicious and almost seems edible - looks like white chocolate (it is mostly cocoa butter) and has a heady scent of orange blossom honey and neroli.
